The trout is so freaking good go ahead and order two pieces I wish I would have! Excellent customer service in just an absolutely fun environment. Totally enjoyed our experience!
Twisted Laurel is a cute Asheville eatery with a welcoming atmosphere and excellent food. I had the pecan crusted trout which was served on top of a bed of mashed potatoes and green beans, topped with preaches and a light cream sauce. It was excellent, but would suggest adding little more seasoning to the crust. We also had the meatballs and crispy Brussel Sprouts which were both to perfection. My husband had the southern fried chicken sandwich. He said it was the best chicken sandwich he'd ever had. We would definitely recommend this restaurant.
Food was a little delayed (Christmas Eve business, I suppose), but we got a free appetizer as an apology, which was a very nice touch. The brussel sprouts (our appetizer of choice) were fantastic, and all the dishes afterwards were just as great. Highly highly recommend!
Great food, great atmosphere, friendly people - JUST GO! Had a quiet dinner for one at the bar. Service was really fast. I had the meatballs with polenta and it was so good - especially on a cold January evening. I will be back.
A group of us were in town for business and came here for dinner... They have a very nice menu loaded with fresh, interesting items. They offer cocktails, beer, and wine and all selections were really good. Service was great! Friendly, helpful, and prompt. The venue it nice, whether you’re sitting inside or out; we chose to sit outside, as it was a beautiful evening. We enjoyed everything we got... The crab cakes were outstanding! All meat with hardly any binder, so they used a nice, breadcrumb “shell” to hold it together, which offered an amazing crunchy texture to some bites – loved this! Definitely stop in, it’s worth the visit!!

I only have a cocktail and appetizer experience to review but both exceeded standards when I just stopped in at the bar. The Brussels sprouts were amazing. Wonderful combo of Brussels, blue cheese, Sriracha mayo and pecans. The old fashioned cocktail was easily modified for my 'not so sweet' request. My server was attentive and it was a great experience overall. I'll be back.
